
BACKGROUND
Human dignity is enshrined in the constitution of all countries in the world as well as the books of major religions in the world. However, the fundamental right is being violated one way or the other on daily basis as there many genuine complaints about injustice and discrimination in the society bordering on races and the colour of your skin. Based on the above, Movement Against Black Injustice in Canada (MABIC) was established on April 8, 2019 to pursue the following vision and mission stated below.

VISION
To prevent and stop all forms of injustice and discrimination against the black people in Canada
MISSION

To advocate for fair treatment and justice for all black people in Canada

To educate black people in Canada of their rights within the law of Canada, the various forms of how these rights could be violated and how they can stand against all of the interference of these rights

To promote harmonious and peaceful relationships between blacks and other groups in Canada

To conduct research into all forms of injustices and discrimination against blacks in Canada

To sensitize the public about systemic injustice and discrimination against blacks in Canada

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mode of Operation
1. The Organization is a non-profit organization that caters for the interests of all black Canadians irrespective of country or continent of origin
2. Services to members will be free
3. Confidentiality of information will be preserved
4. Maintain a regular database of all the activities of the organization
Funding of Operation

1. Voluntary donations from members of the public
2. Donations from other charitable and non-charitable organizations
3. Donations from government/government agencies
4. Services in kind are accepted in lieu of monetary donations

PAUL. OMOYEFA, PhD
Executive Director
Paul has over 27 years' experience in social advocacy with various works and projects on fighting injustice, racial discrimination, and promoting black empowerment as well as social justice. This advocacy has taken him to many countries in Africa, Europe, Scandinavians, North America and Canada where he has been residing for more than 12 years now. Some of his works in this regard have been published. He had his education at the prestigious University of Lagos, Nigeria, and the University of the Free State, South Africa with various degrees in Philosophy, Political Science, and International Relations. He is a widely travelled and an accomplished social advocator and researcher. He has many years of experience as a University Professor both in Africa and Canada. He is also a Mediation and dispute Resolution practitioner, and an active member of Conflict Resolution Saskatchewan. He has a sound knowledge and experience in running a non-profit organization having served and still serving on the board of many non-profit and charitable organizations. He is greatly passionate about fighting injustice of all forms, especially injustice arising from race, ethnic group, and skin colour. He is a consummate go-getter.

FLORENCE OMOYEFA, BSW, RSW
Director
She earned Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from the University of Regina, Canada and she is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) who has worked as a social worker, and domestic violence counsellor both in government and non-profit organizations. She has over 15 years in social advocacy focusing on the socially vulnerable persons, social justice, and black empowerment. She has been involved in many projects that aim at curbing racial discrimination, empowerment for the vulnerable, and fighting for women of color as well as their families. She is a silent achiever who pursues her vision tenaciously until accomplished. She has excellent experience of running non-profit organizations having worked as a senior officer in some non-profit organizations and being a board member of another non-profit and charitable organization.

TEMILOPE (TOBI) OMOYEFA, BBA
Director
Temilope popularly called Tobi is an intelligent, innovative and smart young man with a heart of gold, compassion and love for humanity. He obtained his Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) with a focus in accounting degree from the University of Regina, Canada. He is passionate about fighting all forms of racism and he believes in the use of education to achieve this. His interest in the fight against racism arises from his own personal experience of being a victim of racism and that of others in the community. Tobi loves and plays sports, his favourite sport being basketball. Tobi believes in actively being involved and being the change you want to see in the world. He continues to demonstrate his leadership skills through coaching young kids basketball, serving at his local church, volunteering for community events and always doing it with a smile on his face. Tobi strives to continue to use education to raise awareness about the social injustices and systemic racism
